Getting ready to open...

Hello neighbors and friends of Three Trees Books! Just wanted to check in to say that we may actually be opening in February if all goes right with the planning, painting and inventory-ordering. Crossing fingers and toes!

Our goal is to keep the collection of books (and goods) very limited. We will feature one book every week, which may be a new book or an oldie that needs love from a new generation of readers.

Our book collection will span several different genres, but we want to focus on life-improvement and how-to books (cookbooks will be featured heavily at Three Trees). We also believe that great children’s books, grown-up literature and art books are a major component of wellbeing, so there will be a standing (small, curated) collection of those books too.

I almost called the store “Three Trees Books & Aprons” because I’m an apron fanatic and we will be selling them at the store (they’re all from Fog Linen Work, a Japanese company that makes beautiful, sturdy linen aprons and kitchen towels beloved by cooking pros). We will also be selling Grace Gow jewelry (ocean-inspired jewelry made by Vashon-based Cat McCadden), hilarious greeting cards from Emily McDowell, “Syds” from The Suburban Monk, and fluffy, furry Sheep Pals - also from Vashon Island.

I look forward to seeing you there!
